Our two oldest boys were involved in the scouting programs back in the 1970’s,
They were in Cubs , Scouts and the oldest was in Ventures which was the group above Scouts. The leader of the Ventures was a good friend of ours and Martin helped out He used to take them winter camping (in all kinds of weather ,,,Brr) where they had a donated site and they built a log cabin from scratch.
They all piled into the back of our van (no seat belts in those days, with all their supplies and gear.
There may be some pictures around of those days but I would have to search them out.
What I still do have are their shirts with all their badges and some of their uniforms packed in a bag!
They don’t want them and I don’t know what to do with them?
Our oldest daughter died at 9 1/2 and I still have her brownie cards ,scarf and some of her uniform in the cedar chest These are harder to part with!
Lovely memories. I can understand you wanting to keep you Brownie items. People do collect the badges, if you can face unpicking them from the uniforms.
